The results are on-line here and on your runner’s file!

Every pre-registered runner has received, or is going to receive during the day, an email with the procedure to be followed.
The registration conditions for 2013 will be published on February 1st, 2012.

10 000 runners representing 72 nations, and answering to the fixed conditions for the qualifying races, have registered or pre-registered for one of the four 2012 The North Face® Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc® events.

We are honoured by this new record and it testifies ain increasingly significant international craze for this event. However, we are not happy that we are obliged to make a very severe draw for places.

The UTMB® is 195% full, with 800 runners (losers in the 2011 draw and whom therefore have priority for 2012) definitively registered. There will be therefore be, for those runners pre-registered, a draw with unfortunately only less than a one in two chance of success.

The CCC® is165% full. There will therefore, for those runners pre-registered, be a draw with a 60 out 100 chance of success.

More than 1000 runners are registered or pre-registered for the TDS. The PTL is full, with 67 teams pre-registered. There will not be a draw for these 2 events.

The results of the draw will be published on January 20th, at 10:00 (Paris time) on our web-site, in the list of those registered and in the runner’s file of each person pre-registered.  Each person will also receive an explanatory email stating the procedure to follow.

For the happy winners of the draw, the pre-registration must be confirmed between January 21st and 31st. After which they will be null and void.

The runners who are unlucky in the draw will have the possibility:

• Either, to transfer their registration to the TDS, within the limit of available places and on condition that they have the necessary 2 qualification points. This will be a good opportunity to participate in the 10th year of the events and to obtain 4 points for 2013.
• Or, to have their 50€ deposit reimbursed and obtain a priority registration for the 2013 UTMB®/ CCC®.

Taking into account the record demands for registration this year, we are increasing as much as possible the number of places for the TDS, so that 500 race-bibs may be attributed to those who wish to transfer their registration.
We are, however, totally unable to offer a priority registration for the 2013 UTMB®/CCC® to those who transfer their registration to the 2012 TDS.

We have also made changes to the registration requirements for 2013. Amongst which, we would like you to now note, that there is a change in the number of points which will be required: to register for the 2013 UTMB®  , gained in 2011 or 2012, 7 points will be required from a maximum of 3 races. For the 2013 CCC® it will be necessary to have gained 2 points in 2011 or 2012.

Finally, please note that there is a 3rd possibility of a place in the 2012 Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc®; run under the colours of a charity with a solidarity race-bib! You would have the opportunity to run in the race of your choice at the same time as supporting a humanitarian project!
